Do you have a household or general life tip to share?
We have five recycling bins: plastic bags, paper, plastic bottles, glass, and cans. Plus I seem to have accumulated several cloth bags that I take shopping with me but if I should forget to take them, as mentioned previously, I recycle the plastic and paper bags, too.
Somehow I seem to collect things. For 2010 one of my goals is to remove 3 items everyday from my 7 room apt. The items can go to recycle, donated, or trashed...but 3 HAVE to go! Amazing how quickly decluttering goes & I don't feel overwhelmed doing it in one day!
Taking B Vitamin supplements are important for all round health. Taking B50, B75 or B100(potent..be careful) helps in red blood cell formation, mental alertness, skin health (esp. if you are acne prone) & helps boost energy by helping your body turn carbs, fat and protein into energy
Apple cider vinegar is good for you for many reasons and it does a great job as a cleaner around the house too
Did you know fabric softener and dryer sheets do the same thing?? You can save money by not using one. Also, don't use any on towels...it makes them more flammable.
Taking 1/2 cup baking soda and putting that down the drain and then adding 1 cup vinegar to the drain can help with clogged drains
I've been using dish towels to wipe up spills and dry may hands in the kitchen instead of paper towels. When soiled, just toss wash with weekly wash. Saves money and the environment.
I invested in a shark steam cleaner and it sanitzies everything. It's effective and leaves everything smelling nice. Trust me, if it broke, I'd be buying another one.
It gets into areas where your hand cannot.
It has a squeege for windows, works great.
Before I go grocery shopping, I clean the fridge and then I create a left over shelf. I try to group everything together. lunch ideas, dairy, beverages. For the most part my idea works except when I have made more then I planned and have to use the space.
The best degreaser/scrubber is baking soda and Dawn dishwashing liquid and a hot wet wash cloth . It will make your sink/stove/oven shine, it has no smell and costs just about nothing! This combo is also great to clean walls and is MUCH cheaper than Mr. Clean eraser!
