Do you have a household or general life tip to share?
The best way to clean to mix it up. Use the step stool and instead of a bucket of water, go up and down the steps to rinse a dirty cloth. Don' t be afraid to get on your hands and knees and stretch to the back of the cupboard. Reach for the stars and get any stray cobwebs too! Enjoy the result.
I heard a quote the other day.... "Failing to prepare is preparing to fail."
I thought this was very relevant to almost every aspect of our lives. When we lack motivation to complete tasks (regardless of how small it is), always seems to make the goal more attainable! Good luck.....
Turn the TV off and the stereo (iPod, radio) on. The TV requires you to sit still and watch. If you turn on your favorite music not only can you move around the house without missing anything. You are likely to dance through the house!!!!
I have found that the busier I keep myself the less likely I am to go off of my "lifestyle Change" and the more active I am around the house makes it easier to endure a cardiovascular workout
After washing dishes, there's always extra water on the counter, so I use a paper towel to clean it up then wash the rest of the counters with it. This prevents me from turning on the faucet and waiting for it to get hot/cold and wasting the water just so I can wash the counters.
Using a magic eraser to clean the tub takes a lot of the elbow work out of removing the residue. Magic Erasers are perfect for almost all household scrubbing, but I have found them particularly helpful when trying to get water spot, residue or rust stains removed from the tub/shower.
When my dorm room gets out of control and quite a bit messy, putting on good tunes while I clean makes me more inclined to not only just clean, but more inclined to dance while I clean, which adds some cardio to my day, and makes cleaning fun!
I love to come home from work, put a cup of tea out, set some music, and grab my pictures. I spend 10-15 minutes looking at pictures, drinking my tea, with music I love in the background. It's a great way to relax when you leave work at work and switch to family life.
If you recycle everything you can the garbage bags are a lot lighter and trash is less likely to bust out all over the floor.
Baking soda can be used in copious ways, bought in large amt, not harmful to humans, pets, environment. Whitens teeth, a rise in your wash, a deodorizer, make play clay for kids. The list is endless. Look up recipes on line, buy it in bulk. Be surprised how much money you can save.
