Do the little things when you think of them

As you go through the day and think of things you want to do later, or tomorrow, stop and do something that is part of the task so it is done and you don't have to remember it. Example: You need to take something to work tomorrow. Put it by your car keys so it is close when you pick up your keys tomorrow morning. Or you need to call someone tomorrow. Put their name and phone number on a piece of paper and put that near your keys.

Clean something to music

Find something in your house that you don't clean on a regular basis, like lampshades, cabinet tops or doors, washing walls, etc., and put on some music and clean and sing your way to remove your stress. Sing loud and clean hard, and you'll be stress free and will have accomplished something good at the same time.

Move around as you are Cooking

Today while fixing lunch for my kids, I danced around the kitchen. My son asked what I was doing and I told him I was exercising during the time I was making the lunch. When the timer goes off I would have been continuously moving around for 5 to 10 minutes or more and not even realize cause I was having fun doing all types of move, like air punching, etc. And it's fun.

TV remote

When I find a very interesting show I put the remote next to the TV. I need to get up to change and cannot channell surf. I do my exercises in the commercials.

Keep it Moving

I dance while doing dishes and cooking. The music keeps me motivated. I prefer dancing to salsa or reggae music. In fact whenever I have to be in the house I dance around. emoticon

Kick up daily activity

Whenever I go up or down my flight of stairs, I stop at landing & step up for 25 steps. It has helped me keep off winter weight I tend to put on.

Dance!

When cooking, or cleaning, or even playing with the kids put on some of favorite music and dance. I even dance round the aisles in the supermarket! Its fun and gets you moving!

Getting in Extra Workouts

My favorite way to work in more movement is to get up and walk around throughout the day. That adds more steps to my total for the dayt.

Standing desk?

OK, this is one I haven't tried yet, but I find it intriguing. I'm thinking of getting a standing desk, so I stand at my computer instead of sitting. I worry that my feet would get too tired but I think it would be good for me not to be sitting so much.
