Getting rid of ants with Bounce

Bounce Fabric Sheets have a smell that repels ants. I always keep a packet in in my suitcase for vacations and lay it in cupboards, and drawers in any kitchen vacation time share unit that we stay in. They run away from it!

TV lifting

I have my moderately heavy weights under the coffee table in the TV room so to feel less guilty about wasting time watching TV, I work my upper body while sitting on the couch. If I have more energy, I stand up and do shoulders or squats - all the while not missing a beat on my favorite show!

KILLING ANTS ~!!!

Around this time we get ants galore, I have no idea where they come from... This is a proof method and in a few days it will work 1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons mules Borax
3 cups warm water

Mix the sugar and Boric Acic well in a mason jar. Store in jar.

Add the warm water slowly, mixing all the while so it won't be too lumpy.

Put cotton into the jar and saturate the cotton to the top. I keep old milk lids and then put the cotton ball in the milk lid. Lay down where you see ants

Making chores your exercise

On days I can't fit a "workout" in, I use my daily chores around the house as my exercise, such as extra trips up and down the stairs putting things away, squats when folding clothes, you get the picture. Instead of trying to be efficient, and carrying multiple items to put away, make a separate trip for each item. Walking out to our mailbox or feeding our outside animals helps get some steps in as well. Just use whatever you have to get even a little exercise in your day. It all helps.

Ways to move extra while spring cleaning...

I've started my spring cleaning today. So I decided, to get in a little extra movement on top of cleaning my butt off, instead of letting the trash bags and recycling pile up and take one big trip to the dumpster, every time, I fill up a bag, I take it down right then. And I live on the second floor too, so lots of extra movement! emoticon

Clean less inefficiently and move more.

When straightening up the house, work on one room at a time and put each item that belongs in that room In its rightful place. As you find things that don't belong in that room, put them together in one spot. Then when you have finished straightening that room, empty your pile of items that belong elsewhere one item at a time. You'll walk take a lot more steps walking back and forth to other rooms. When all the items have been put up, move to the next room and straighten it the same way.

Making laundry into exercise

When you're doing laundry you can increase the number of steps you take by taking one item at a time out of the hamper and putting it in the washer. That's a lot of walking back and forth especially if you move the hamper further away from the washer. If you are unbundling socks or checking pockets and haven't finished by the time you reach the washer, walk around in front of it until you're ready to put the item in the machine.
