To Fix a Ugly Side Table or Dresser Top

If you have a a nice side table but the top is messed up try taking a piece of wallpaper . Cut the wallpaper that fits the top of the table. The wallpaper stays in place by the lamp and the item you put on top. You could also put a piece of glass over the wallpaper too.
You can get a roll of wallpaper on sale or at garage sales for cheap.

Clean something to music

Find something in your house that you don't clean on a regular basis, like lampshades, cabinet tops or doors, washing walls, etc., and put on some music and clean and sing your way to remove your stress. Sing loud and clean hard, and you'll be stress free and will have accomplished something good at the same time.

Getting in Extra Workouts

My favorite way to work in more movement is to get up and walk around throughout the day. That adds more steps to my total for the dayt.

Clean less inefficiently and move more.

When straightening up the house, work on one room at a time and put each item that belongs in that room In its rightful place. As you find things that don't belong in that room, put them together in one spot. Then when you have finished straightening that room, empty your pile of items that belong elsewhere one item at a time. You'll walk take a lot more steps walking back and forth to other rooms. When all the items have been put up, move to the next room and straighten it the same way.

Well ,I decided that day, I was "company" , I started cleaning ,de cluttering ,polishing and dusting. In about 1 1/2 hrs, my house looked I was ready to entertain. So I relaxed and enjoyed it .
Moral - u deserve the best, sometimes U have to work for it.

Ceiling Fan Cleaner

Use an old pillowcase to clean the ceiling fan blades. Get the pillowcase a little damp and put it over the blade (like a pillow) and pull off all the dust/dirt without it going everywhere! It all stays in the pillowcase :]

Washing walls the easy way, (great for horizontally challenged)

I was mopping our wooden floors with the sponge head that is best for wood, and noticed a bunch of smudges on a wall. In a hurry, I simply tried the mop, with the Lemon Pine Sol, and it came off the first time. I ended up mopping all of the walls. The dust I did not see, came off really well, and the rooms sparkle. And the house smells great. I had to do extra scrubbing where there were food spots, but that was all there was to it. If you have carpet, be careful to use less water on mop.

Stretch your laundry detergent!

Laundry detergent usually says "Fill cap to line 1," but it's impossible to see line 1, so we just fill up the cap, right? This uses 4x as much soap as you need! Take a permanent marker and mark line 1 inside the cap (you'll need a bright light to find it). Only fill to that line -- even for extra-large loads. Your clothes will get just as clean, and you'll save tons of money!
