Cold Weather Cooking

When the weather is cold, wet and or dreary, and not conducive to outdoor exercise, I cook.

I take that time to prepare healthy meals and snacks for fair weather days ahead when I am outside and don't have the time to cook.

Hot flashes

This really works wear a pair of thick socks to bed.
It will help reduce your night sweats and your hot flashes

Secret to shopping healthy

I went shopping today at the only store in town that carries my favorite sweet tooth addiction.....I took my adult daughter with me......the motive was for her to help me be strong...Support is such a strong implement in anything that you do, including squashing bad habits to make room for new ones.

Recycling

Our recycling company wants the plastics and can rinsed out, but I find it a huge waste of water to rinse out some items. So instead I fill the container with water and let it sit-then it usually just needs a quick swish to be rinsed out well enough. emoticon

Help with restless legs.

I found that putting a bar of soap, between my sheet and mattress, at the foot of the bed helps me to relax my legs when they start twitching. All that I do, is, touch the soap with my foot. This automatically stops the restlessness. I would recommend it.

Water before meal

I drink at least 8 ounces of water before each meal. It gives me a sense of being full and I seem to eat less.

Insomnia

Don't Let Insomnia stop you from doing a workout routine the next day! Just make sure to get plenty of sleep or take a nap in the middle of the day, if you can. emoticon
