My tried and true trick to meet my water quota is to start my day with a glass of water and before long, nature calls, and I 'll have to "go". As soon as I'm done in the bathroom, I'll drink another glass, and the cycle continues. If you drink everytime you "pee", you'll have no problem.
Use a monthly calendar dedicated just to your health plan. I use mickey mouse stickers each time I meet a goal, write in minutes of exercise, etc. Just seeing the visual display of a whole month with all your accomplishments helps!
Before eating at night, stop on sparkpeople, check your food for the day, and check out some friends or blogs. If you have some spare calories, choose something and come back to log in food. Usually if I do this, I don't overeat and I get tired and feel fed by my spark buddies.

I'm one of those people who somehow must find a way around every rule. The more I am not supposed to do something the more I want to do it. That mindset goes triple for food. So I don't have food rules. I eat what I want as long as I'm not allergic to it.
