How do you stay motivated and find inspiration to stick with your program?
When things get tough, or the day is stressful, remember why you chose to go down this path, how much better you will look and feel, all the things you will be able to do when the weight is gone. When you have a bump in the road remember "every day is new with no mistakes."
Sharing your journey with others, helping them while you help yourself, will aide you to stay on track. Have an accountability partner. Motivate someone who is having a hard time. Help someone who's just starting the trip to healthy living. It all helps to keep me on track.
No Matter who you are, you are unique, start loving yourself first then everything will fall in place and you will make progress in all aspects of life. Don't let others judge you or their judgement guide you on who you are.
Treat yourself to a book you really want to read. Keep it at work and only allow yourself to read it when you pack a lunch from home. My desire to find out what happens next in my book is greater than my desire to hit a fast food restaurant or go out to eat.
Taking pictures of your body on a regular basis can help you being motivated by looking at the results! You could be very surprise to look at what you looked like 6 months ago :)
You have a favorite pant you can't wear anymore because you gained weight? Why not add it to a part of your own motivation to lose weight? The day you'll fit in it, the joy will be PRICELESS :)
Have a workout buddy! I have two so that way if one cant do it i have a fall back person! They are my biggest motivators!
You can get tricks AND motivation by talking to people who has the same goal :) At home, at the job, on discussions boards... not to be alone in a process is always a good key to start!
Putting a funny picture of a fat woman/man on your fridge can make you think twice before starting to eat for no reason! :P
It's the same with cultivating a healthier lifestyle. You have to build your life around core habits and activities that foster your success, so that can mean limiting your exposure to friends or family that don't support (or worse, sabotage) your efforts.
