How do you stay motivated and find inspiration to stick with your program?
" Don't give up what you want most in life for what you want most at this moment."
I keep that quote and a picture of me at my heaviest on the refrigerator door. It does help stop me from unplanned eating.
Park at the end of parking lots to get more steps in your day
I made a small chart for on my refrigerator. I started with my beginning weight (183) and simply counted down on the paper to my goal weight (115). Every time I lose another pound I draw a line thru or highlight that number. I can see every week just how much I have lost & how much I have to go.
Make a list of your excuses! Lots of times, we make excuses for not exercising or not making better food choices. If you can identify these excuses, you can push past them. Don't let excuses slow you down from reaching your goals and dreams!!!
Choosing a motivating goal with a date to have reached it is a powerful tool. Examples: losing 15 lbs before your next birthday or weight training before your family reunion, or signing up and training to run your first race, etc. Most important is it motivates YOU!
We all have bad weeks (just had one myself). But don't give up. Stress can deter us from our goal, but we have the power to recognize this and get back on track. We are worth it, and can DO this! Yeah!
Put yourself first. You can't help others if you're not healty and happy.
Surround yourself with positive thoughts. Do a vision collage that reflect your power to change your body and your life. It includes your commitment to exercise, your goal date, your vision of how you want to look, your career goals and your romantic goals.
