How do you stay motivated and find inspiration to stick with your program?
I figure you have this one life, and this one body. I have seen people treat their cars and their shoes better than their own bodies.
I start my day with God. I pray for guidance and strength to meet the challenges of the day and accomplish His will in my life. And He does! Through the power of His Holy Spirit He keeps me focused and motivated.
Pick an event in the future (2-3 months) in which you REALLY want to look good for. Now everytime you work out, think of that event and how good you'll look. Great motivation!
Every morning, before I get out of bed, I sit in a quiet yoga pose for 15 minutes and visualize my day. I congratulate myself on yesterday's successes, forgive the slips and commit to my plan today. I see myself preparing breakfast and packing my lunch. I breathe deeply and get calm.
Last night at dinner, my husband asked me how many calories are in the foods he usually takes for lunch. Then he started asking me how many calories were in the foods he was eating right then at dinner! I grabbed my Calorie King book and answered his questions.
To motivate myself I wrote on a note card
"I am proud of my..."
"I love my..."
"I am thankful for..."
"Today I wont..."
"Today I will..."
And I put the notecard by the mirror where I put on my makeup. Everyday I take a few seconds for me to put myself in order and praise myself.
With the help of "Word" I made and framed three decorative plaques that hang by my bathroom mirror, so that they are the first thing I see in the morning. The first is Joshua 24:15, "Choose God," next is Ps. 118:24 "Choose Joy," and finally one from me that says, "Choose Health."
Instead of saying I think I can- I say I know I can.
Instead of saying maybe - I say I will.
Instead of saying I can't - I say I will try.
I always try to use the positive side of things.

Reward yourself after a workout, it helps keep you motivated and anticipating the next workout.
Personally if i complete at least a 30 minute jog i allow myself to go relax in the pool to cool off after wards. It feels amazing and plus swimming is exercise? lol
