How do you stay motivated and find inspiration to stick with your program?
I play music that I download from Itunes on my Ipod when I am exercising. I noticed that I will exercise longer if I listen to some upbeat songs. My stress melts away from the movement and the music. I guess that old saying is true, " music calms the savage beast." I KNOW IT CALMS ME.
I always keep a gym bag with gym shorts/pants, shirt, shoes and socks in my car so that if the weather is nice or the opportunity presents I can go for a walk, no excuses.
Everyone has bad days/weeks/months/whatever. We all fall off the wagon sometimes. The key is to GET BACK UP AGAIN! Beating yourself up only makes it harder to get back to it. So, forgive yourself, and put it behind you. GET BACK UP AND GET BACK TO IT!!
Learn to love your self no matter what you weigh
If the path you take always leads to the same end..... change the path
Today I read this from PianoAngelwings.....Picnic Smart. It is a mantra I will carry with me through the holiday weekend. It is a motivation from a Spark Friend. How fortunate we are to be able to get words of wisdom and carry them with us along with the warm feelings of friendship.
If, every time you eat something you shouldn't, or gain a pound, you tell yourself you are going to "start again" tomorrow... you are just reinforcing the idea that you failed. You didn't fail. And you don't need to start over. You just ned to pick up where you left off and ..... KEEP GOING!
Find exercises you like to do. Read the articles on the Spark web site (especially about motivation). Max out your spark points. Write a blog. Talk to you Spark Friends. Make this an adventure, make it fun!
All the cleaning and getting ready for company was worth it. Had a lovely time with my sister , her friend and my granddaughter. They brought food from the Amish store and it was delicious and my granddaughter loved it too. Enjoy family this holiday weekend, there is nothing better.
I ran my first 5k today! It was a great workout / experience. I found that I had hit a plateau in my weight loss progress and needed a jolt! This worked for me! If you are bored with your current fitness regiment & need a new challenge, try something different that will help you SPARK FORWARD!
