do all this for you and you alone. stop saying you are not worth it or do it because someone else thinks you should or makes fun of you. you matter and need to want to better yourself because thats where your heart is at, at this point in your life. you will be so much happier and lighter feeling along the journey and just happier with yourself.

I find that when I smile at people, it makes them feel better. Even the grumpiest of people will start to smile if you smile at them and make an effort to listen to what they have to say.

Reduce Stress & Be Happy!

I realized one day that I wasn't very happy and I had heard in Al-anon a quote by Abraham Lincoln "Most people are as happy as they decide to be". So I decided to be happy and knew I needed to reduce stress in my life. Then I saw a quote on FaceBook " Saying yes to happiness means learning to say no to things and people that stress you out." by Thelma Davis. That day I stopped taking on other people's issues and responsibilities. Since that day I try each day to decide to be HAPPY!

When I could SEE the vision of what certain foods did to my body..health..results, I knew I needed to change my eating habits.
Every time I want to go back to the "old ways"...I picture the truth and think what the outcome will be and that stops me from going back to the unhealthy lifestyle and continue my day by day...meal by meal..step by step that I have committed to..I am IN IT TO WIN IT!!

Weigh on Friday morning

I stay in my calorie range more often during the week than on the weekends. I find it helps me stay motivated to weigh myself only on Friday morning. I feel upbeat knowing I've had a good streak of days being on track, and it helps keep from being too overindulgent over the weekend.

Supporters stand by each other

Friends will celebrate your successes. I try to be a supportive friend. I believe askingfor help is one thing, getting it crammed down my throat is another. One person's way does not work for everyone on here.
Walk side by side with your friends on here. Hold them up when they feel down. Be happy they are figuring it out. Succeed together. Don't drag people behind you trying to get them to do what you do. It may work for you, maynot work for them. emoticon
