How do you achieve and maintain a positive outlook?
I had to bowl against 2 of my team members from the winter league. Our team beat them in all 3 games and total pins by 217. The games where won by 73, 85, and 29 pins We just out bowled them and 2 on the other team be beat in winter league all the time and they are good bowlers. Just have fun, I do.
reading my daily word, starting your day right , bible and before anyone gets up in the morning, i pray. the calm and quiet of the morning allows me to breathe and focus without interruption.
Keeping in mind that I can help to change the condition of my body even a little bit, helps me keep my mind in a much happier and better frame of mind.
I sing in the car, all by myself, along with the radio. I use the steering wheel as a drum at stop lights. I can only imagine how i look to other drivers..but i really dont care, and figure they probably get a smile out of my silliness too. This usually puts me in a good mood as I drive to work.
I fell behind in my blogs and tonight I did 3 parts on one so I am caught up to Tuesday. I always am writing on the wee hours of the next day so be patient. I try hard to keep up on my spark point page but sometimes it is hard as I am sure others have that problem too. I'm busy during warm weather.
Instead of worrying all day about things I can't fix right away, I set a specific time of day to do nothing but worry over those items. I take 10-15 mins a day to just worry. Then I push it away. My mood stays positive by knowing I can worry later.
I may have a bad weigh in or a day of bad eating but I still jump back on track. Instead of completely backsliding and constantly feeling sorry for myself, I look at how much weight I've lost so far; why go backwards now? So if you fall down, get back up, brush yourself off and keep it moving.
I keep making promises not to eat out so much and it never works. So today, I stop making promises and just focus on not doing it.
My day is much better if I wake up before 9, eat a healthy breakfast, and then go to the gym. On the days when I get all of this done by 11 am, I feel noticeably happier.
Someone I know was going through very tough times but never seemed down. She told me that she told herself so many times that she was happy, she was beginning to believe herself!! Tell yourself what your really WANT to believe!
