Forgive Yourself!

Forgive yourself. Realize that you are human and that nobody is perfect! Know that you are worthy and strong. Treat yourself like you would a good friend!

Reach Out

Reaching out to my Spark Friends can totally change my attitude. When I'm having a rough time, I leave positive messages on their pages, blogs and feeds, and before you know it, I'm feeling great! Not only that, but I give them a boost to their day, too.

Baby Steps

Taking on goals in baby steps is helping me stay positive. When you try to take on a huge goal all at once, it can be overwhelming. Celebrate the small victories before you worry about the bigger ones.

Don't expect perfection

I found that if I expect perfection in exercise, nutrition, how much water I consume, or whatever my goal is I tend to blow the whole day if I slip up or make a wrong food choice. Expect that some days will be better than others and keep moving forward!

Thank the bad thoughts for sharing, and then KICK THEM OUT!

I have NO control over the tons of thoughts that pop in my head. I DO have control over which ones I "invite in to sit and stay a while". When the thoughts in my head are negative, I say "thanks for sharing" and turn my back on them: they are not my "friends" with whom I want to share mind time.

Don't Invite Stress In

I do not phone, email, text, etc. family and people having a stressful time.
Wait til they contact me. They will be more personable.
I don't need to jump in to "help save the day" getting in their face. Don't go looking for real or stupid stress that will result in emotional eating.

Get back on track!

If I fall victim to a craving I don't let it ruin my whole day or all the work that I've done. I just pick myself back up and try to do better next time.

I am Worth It!

One thing I have learned here on Sparks is that I am WORTH it! No matter what anyone has told me or I heard someone say that was negative I always tell myself I AM WORTH IT! No matter what it takes I am going to get healthy. Tell yourself this everyday. Be Positive!
YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!

Like Orphan Annie

Believe in tomorrow. Today may present a storm or challenge; tomorrow offers a new day--the hope of the rainbow.

Get involved!

The magic 'pill' for me was getting involved with challenge teams. Being accountable to others on a daily basis, and being willing to interact and share made all the difference for me. Once I stopped being a loner, success followed success. There's nothing like a friendly competition!
