How do you achieve and maintain a positive outlook?
I used to do this years ago..if I was upset I'd go for a walk and burn off the badness and it would be the same for feeling sad, walk and look around at the beauty that was there. If I'm happy I'd walk to keep the feeling there. WALK, BREATH and it's all good with the world! I started it again.
When you over eat, ask what's eatting you? Sometimes, people (like me) are overweight because they store they're stress, pain from the past, and emotions in their body. Reiki is a way of clearing these blocked emotions and helping you heal to create a new and better life to find your path.
If you have a problem with someone, practice doing "One Nice Thing a Day" for the problem person. It's amazing how just that act can smooth out a problem relationship. It's working for me!
When life hit me between the eyes & I felt like everything was spinning out of control, I found focusing on what I CAN do instead of what I couldn't helped me stay positive & get back to where I needed to be.
Whenever possible, try to stand and do your work while at work. If you have to sit, sit up straight and watch your posture. Also try to keep your abs contracted. You'll feel the difference.
It's not always possible to always stay on the "straight and narrow" path of eating "perfectly". Sometimes life happens and we indulge in foods that are not "on the plan." When this happens, my best advice is to "Own it...track it...and move on."
When that alarm goes off, hit the snooze & turn on the lights & spend those extra lusious10 minutes easy stretching (right there in bed) and thinking a gratitude list. It's lots easier to pop out of bed and start the day on a happy note if the body and brain are prepped for energy
the key is to never give up even on the days that you have a set back just get rite back into controlling yourself. we all no its hard and want to indulge but think of how better you will feel saying no to yourself and having control over what we do. we can all do it. it just takes time good luck.
Keep a bottle of bubble soap in your glove compartment and when you get caught in a traffic jam, blow bubbles out the window. The people around you will first think you're mad, but eventually they will relax and enjoy the diversion. When the jam breaks up you and they will be relaxed and happy
I tried believing I could get my second knee replacement in spite of being out of FMLA benefits at work....actually it happened in May just as I had believed despite the fact that HR told me I had to wait until next year. I am scheduled May 21.
