How do you achieve and maintain a positive outlook?
Sometimes we focus on what we're lacking so much that we fail to realize just all we have been given. Challenge yourself to list things you are grateful for regularly. This can be especially helpful when you are feeling really down or sorry for yourself.
Don't beat yourself up over yesterday's mistakes. Learn from them, then move on. Every day is a brand new beginning and you can make of it whatever you want!!
Find other people with your same goals and make a real effort to stay in contact with them. Share every bit of success and motivate each other. If you isolate yourself you'll be more likely to quit.
Do not let "toxic friends" detour you. Unfortunately, not everyone wants to see you succeed. Surround yourself with positive friends. Whether it be online, or a friend to email daily with progress/positivity/concerns/activities/pointers- just pick a positive reinforcement to be on your side. :)
Add one positive thing you did to it each day. On days when you are feeling down and ready to give up, get the list out and remind yourself how far you have come.
When someone who is bugging me, I just smile and nod, and let their bad words go in one ear and out the other! And to just have a smile on your face drives the people who are putting you down completely insane. I have done this and it works. It keeps them guessing what you are thinking of!
The best way to stay out of a funk is to spend time with people with whom you can share a few laughs.
Joy banishes sorrow.
Don't think about it, just DO IT! If you have a strong determination to do something that'll positively influence you - never stop to reconsider the options. When you stop to think things over, it's easy to talk yourself out of something that could be great and/or change your life.
Choose to stay in the happy zone while driving and fight the urge to let that middle finger fly. When you arrive at your destination you will feel so much happier, calm and less stressed. If you have to show them a finger, show them all five!
Know that it doesn't hurt to try something. If it doesn't work for you but it worked for someone else just means that it wasn't meant for you. You tried it. It failed, Move on to the next and be happy that you have life to try again another day.
