Love Your Body Today!

Even if you're far away from your goal, love your body today. Love it for doing it's best to take care of you. Love it because you've had some good times in it. Love it because it's yours. emoticon

Take Up Your Space

No one ever hated themselves skinny. Love and appreciate the body you have, dimples and rolls and cellulite and jiggle and all. You have a good body. It is worthwhile. Own your space. Love it before you get healthy. Love it while you're getting healthy. And accept it in all stages. Everything else gets so much easier if you can.

Forgive yourself up when you slip, just get back on track at the next meal.

Everyone will go over their limits from time to time. Dont beat yourself up over it. This will just cause you to throw in the towel entirely. Talk nicely to yourself, like you would a friend or child. You dont deserve self punishment.

Remember those less fortunate

We often think we are in the worst situation/place in our life. If we stop and think there are those less fortunate or worse off than we are. So, pick yourself up and keep your chin up

Positive Affirmations and Quotes

I have put together a list of positive affirmations and quotes that I found online and I knew would keep me positive. I used a fun font, printed then out on cute paper and cut them into individual strips of paper. I put them in a jar and pull one out, read it multiple times, and add it to my bulletin board dedicated just for this!

What comes in Must go out!

Being in the health care field I decided to treat negativity with a "mind field enema" ! Literally to remove the bad build up of (forgive me here) "crap". I would immediately counteract the negativity with a sudden influx of nothing but positive images of where I wanted to be, positive self-talk reinforcement from supportive friends at Spark People. Believe me - it worked and continues to do so. emoticon emoticon

Dance Like No One Is Watching (& Laugh like you're watching someone dance!)

Who ever felt bad when they were dancing? Put on your favorite jam and just get jiggy with it!! It will make you feel better, and it might make you laugh as well. We all need a good laugh sometimes too!!

Less News is Good News

If you're a news junkie reduce stress by cutting back on your news consumption. Unless your day job is activism or politics, chances are you already have enough on your plate to worry about. Avoid news commentary shows and opinion articles--those are just designed to get you riled up--and stick to the facts. You'll still be informed and then you can spend the rest of your spare time relaxing instead of mentally leading a march on city hall.
