Remember, two steps forward and one step back is still one step forward. As long as you keep moving forward, you're winning. There are people who would love to be under 300lbs, 250, 200 etc. Before putting yourself down for not being where you want to be, remember there is someone struggling to get where you are now. I read this post on Facebook and thought it deserved to be shared. Even when I eat off plan, and think that I have totally messed up my calorie count for the day, I still carrying on tracking & logging my food. It usually isn't as bad as I think, and I've only gone a couple of hundred calories over. It helps me remember that I don't need to blow a whole day/week/lifetime over one donut! I take time each day to sit quietly for a few minutes...10 at least, and practice gratitude for any positive conditions, successes, etc. in my life, so that I will not be forced into panic or depression by any perceived failures or shortfalls in moving toward my goals.
Laugh when you can... Just take one day at a time. If you fall off track there is always tomorrow. Everyone has bad days, but the key is to leave them behind.
Remember that every meal and everyday is a clean slate. If you slip and make a bad choice don't throw it all out the window, start anew with the very next meal. Everyday is a fresh start! Don't be Embarrassed or Jealous With all of our stats here public, it's only natural to feel embarrassment when we stray or jealousy when others post huge weight losses. Everyone is different, and everyone is here to get fit and healthy! Keep it public, stay accountable, celebrate victories, and bolster others' spirits as well. |
