It's simple really - just - USE IT! You joined the site so take advantage of the information, teams, advice. Log in, read the blogs, interact with other members, make friends. Most of all, though, USE THE ADVICE! Don't just read it - or put your settings to 'no mail' - the more reminders you get to stay on track the more likely you are to do so.

Use everything!

This can't be said enough: use EVERYTHING!
Track your nutrition, water, freggies and exercise.
Join the teams. JOIN THE BLC! Look at your spark summary calendar. Blog your good days and bad days so you can reach out for help OR help someone who is reaching out. Taking a multivitamin daily but you're getting forgetful? Use the planner to send you a reminder every morning.
Explore all the options. Use them to your advantage. It really works!

KEEP IT SIMPLE

Day 3 and I feel great. Every morning I can hardly wait to login and start my day feeding myself with the motivation I need to keep me focused. Concentrating on 3 Fast Breaks that will help me stop eating mindlessly at night, schedule a daily exercise time, and adopt a motivational action "5 min. pep talk" telling me I can do this. I can plan and track my food daily and I can log in how much exercise I have done even if I only walked 15-30 minutes that is an accomplishment.

plan your meals daily

The last thing i do every night when I'm on Spark page is plan out my meal for the following day. I do so much better in following my diet that way and if possible i try to plan a couple days in advance to make sure that i have all the ingredients i need for cooking.

Seeing the picture behind the page

Often a Sparkmember will have a gorgeous picture as their page background but it will be hidden by the page itself, usually only showing the outer edges of the picture, no matter how far down you scroll.

To uncover the picture, right click and choose View Background Image - the whole picture will open in another tab and you'll be able to see the smiling face!

Virtual Race Trophies - Be sure and get yours!

Every week I sign up for the Spark Virtual Races and post my time... either walking or running. If you walk (or run) at least a mile once a week you are eligible to post your time and collect a trophy! If you aren't doing this already be sure and check it out.

Prelogging my food tracker & menu planning

Something I realized I needed to do in order to be successful was to prelog my food for the whole day, preferably at breakfast and sometimes in bed before I get up.

I pretty much eat the same breakfast M W F, a different breakfast Tu Th, another breakfast on the weekends. My lunches follow a similar pattern. This also helps me create a shopping list.

In my Favorites list on the Food Tracker, I created groupings for these different days and labeled them "Breakfast - MWF", "Lunch - MWF", etc.
