Motivational Maintenance Days

I find that motivation starts waning if I do not treat it as its own muscle group. I need to schedule workouts for my motivation, determination and mental strength, just like I would schedule cardio, stretching or strength training.

Follow the 4 SparkDiet stages

This was one of the first tools provided by Sparkpeople and it really works for me! Don't be afraid to go back to a previous stage if that's where you really are or move ahead to the next one when you are ready. The process really works! emoticon

Power of Spark!

My secret is using the SparkPeople website - I'm addicted! It gets me through my day, helps me stay focused and motivated. I find that using Spark has kept me on track longer than I've ever been able to be focused on a 'healthy plan'. emoticon

Track everything you eat

Tracking the food had help me to realize how much I was eating. Now I know how much and how good is what I'm eating emoticon

BE FAITHFUL

Try to log on and use your trackers every day. On the days I dont I find myself falling off my plan. Spark keeps me on track. emoticon

Track and Do: Using the Fitness Tracker

I use the Fitness Tracker as a CONTRACT with myself. On days that I am worried that I won't "find the time to exercise", I set up what I want to accomplish ahead of time on the Fitness Tracker. Interestingly, I don't deviate from that contract at all :)
