Sleep Deprivation

I do believe what SP says about having a good sleep. I feel that if we use positive messages before going to bed, meditate, etc., that your sleep will be better and kick start your plateau, stopping that hormone, cortisol, from keeping us from losing weight.

Just by playing Trivia

I started playing Trivia because I'm quirky and like to see the points go up but I've learned so much in even this one single activity.

Nutrition Tracker

For me, the Nutrition Tracker feature is THE single most effective tool on SparkPeople.

When fully utilized, this feature will surprise and amaze you when you realize how many wasted calories are taken in each day.

Using Your Time EFFICIENTLY on Spark

Spark Friends having to cut way back on Spark Time due to LACK of time. I have learned to utilize the "feed" on each friend's Spark Page to quickly reply with "Like" and "Comment". I can quickly provide several replies and find where I left off on a previous day.

My recipes on the Nutrition Tracker

I finally figured out how to enter my personal recipes on the Nutrition Tracker. Now that they are on my Favorites list, all I have to do is click on it once and all of the numbers are entered for me. It makes it so much easier and gives a more accurate count of calories and nutrition .

Making a Comment on Blogs or Friend Feed

I have developed the habit of making a comment when I read a blog or review my Friend Feed. I've found that by my focusing on what others write and responding to it I have stayed positive or regained a positive attitude if I'm losing some passion for my Spark journey.

"Say it out loud" using the blog!

I use the blog to write down what I want to accomplish. By 'saying it out loud' in the blog, I make a commitment to myself that I have to keep.

Blogging

I blog every day. Even when I don't have much to say. It is a good way to give myself a pep talk, explore the emotions I am feeling that day, and get encouragement from people who are going through the same thing I am. :)
