As weird as this sounds it works for me. I PROMISED my treadmill and elliptical (and myself of course), that "if" I got on it I would stay on for my pre determined amount of time. Meaning, if I actually enter the room and get on the treadmill with my expectation of doing 30 minutes, I will.
Use the Spark People calorie tracker. Weigh, measure and track you calories. Don't just guess what you are eating. Not losing anything? Reduce your calories toward the lower range Spark People gave you and try that for awhile. Tracking really does work!

This is a perfect tool to keep track of your food, water, fitness, etc. I can add in what I'm eating, before I put one bite in my mouth, my workout after I'm finished, each ounce of H20 downed, etc. It keeps me from missing a beat :)

I put my daily task list in the other goals feature of sparkpeople. This way, I am able to check them off as I go. It helps keep me motivated to see how much I get accomplished. And I get sparkpoints for scrubbing the toilet
I love the Stay On Track Calendar. It gives me a monthly view that not only shows me days I've forgotten to track, but also helps me identify problems - like, if I'm eating too much, or not exercising enough on the weekends!
