I find that viewing my spark points page helps me to navigate through a lot of the things this site has to offer. Before I was loosing things because I would click on a new interest then not get back to where I started. Now I just go back to my spark points page to start again.
When I'm thinking about what to prepare for dinner, I make sure that my nutrition tracker is up to date for my earlier meals, and then review the nutrition information before I decide. That way I ensure that I'm staying within my goal range for the day.
i pour my cup of coffee and sit down with the lappy. i go to the spark points page and scroll down to the bottom of the daily points section. i start there and go up, checking as i go. i take a break to make breakfast and log my nutrition points for that and i know when i get to the top it's time to work out! i try to max out my points each day as a goal. i read articles that inspire and educate and i keep trying to get to the next trophy. i like them for whatever reason! makes me feel good!
If you have problems motivating yourself to exercise, just start shooting for 100 spark points every day. You can't get there most days without exercise. If you find out you would rather rack up empty posts for 10 points instead of going for a walk, add another 10 or 20 points to your goal. Make it impossible to get your goal points without exercise points.
When I discovered Spark People it had been a complete secret to me. I am so grateful to the internet and for our Spark Guy for creating this site and posting it on the internet for all to have. Being free made this site especially attractive. There is so little in life that is free any longer.
Keep logging on to Sparkpeople no matter what ...whether you have lost or grained weight, started or blown your exercise plan, when you are ecstatic or down in the dumps...just stick with it! There is a positive benefit to the consistency of the process..............it works on so many different levels !
