Train your dog to get you going each day at a certain time. If you can train them to sit,lay or heal you can also do this. I have and it works. emoticon

Weekend booster

If you weigh yourself once a week, make Friday the day you weigh. It will give you extra motavation going into the Temptation days if you have had a good week. If you have had a bad week then weighing on Friday can help you refocus yourself and prepare for the weekend.

One A Month

Making one change a month, and making it a regular part of your everyday life, will help you to keep yourself on track.

If it is a regular "habit", you don't require so much energy to remember to do it. I also noticed that if I'm not overwhelmed with stuff to remember to do, I don't get stress out, which affects me negatively.

"don't do anything you don't want to do the rest of your life"

....to lose OR maintain weight. When I went on a "diet," I could go to extremes, and when I reached goal weight, I was "done." So I "stopped." Lather, rinse, repeat. Now, if there's anything I do that I think, "Oh, I can't keep doing this" (eat so little, eat certain foods, not eat certain foods), I stop and regroup. And recommit, or make a change.

Make water more interesting!

I'll admit it, I hate drinking straight up water. I like to try and keep some of those zero-calorie mixes that you add right to the water (there are a bunch of brands) in my bag so I can motivate myself to drink water throughout the day. Better to be hydrated with them than not get enough water! Over time, I've found that I can kind of phase them out.

Don't Deprive Yourself!

I love that line from Bethany Frankel's Skinny Girl: You can't wrap up your leftovers and mail them to the starving people in Africa. Therefore, I will eat 1/2 of a treat (brownie, piece of cake) and throw the rest away. emoticon
