Either I'm too stubborn or a slow learner, but I finally realized that I have to eat for the rest of my life, not "diet" for it, so I make sure I eat all the things I love, that comfort me, that satisfy me, only make them "lighter and healthier". Some things I really love are already pretty healthy. I love mushrooms, and prawns, and salmon. As for the rest I can either substitute or change the cooking methods and voila! It's pretty painless and something I can finally maintain for the long haul.
I could never do a diet diary until I decided to make my weight loss journey something I could share and inspire others with. So I started typing everything every day...how I felt, what I ate, what recipes I found. It motivated me to think I might help someone else one day who feels fat and hopeless. I feel so much more empowered and I am becoming my own weight loss expert!
