Some days it's tough to stay upbeat. When I face one of those tough days where I just want to skip my work out and eat junk I think of how good I feel by making those changes in my life and it gives me the energy to keep going.
When I start craving sweets I'll grab some dried fruit instead. It satisfies my sweet craving and I get a serving of fruits. When I'm craving sweet & salty I add some nuts to the dried fruit.
I work in a cube and get little movement from my job. Each time I need to use the bathroom I take the stairs from the 5th floor to the first, then back up.
Just that little bit of movement adds a lot of steps to my day and jump starts my brain again with increased oxygen.
