Timer

I set a timer for 15 min & race myself to see how much I can get done in a short period of time! It also makes me forget about wanting to eat!

Intervals

I like to use intervals in a couple of different ways - when I'm on the treadmill I do a slow run & a fast run at 30-60-90 sec intervals. Then I do "intervals" around the house by setting my timer for 15 min - I'll work on a project, cleaning, or on the computer for 15 min. then alternate onto something else. This keeps me from sitting too long & also from feeling overwhelmed by any one thing.

Using a Timer

My very favorite way to stay on top of clutter or get myself to work on a task I'd rather not is to use a timer. I set it for 15 min. & see how much I can get done during that time. After it goes off, I can either do it again or often do something else for 15 min that is more fun & then repeat again. It works!
