Traverse II Pants by SportHill

Warm, semi-weatherproof, comfortable walking/running pants are not easy to find. After months of searching, these are everything I've been looking for. Regular price is $99.

Stretch material thick enough my butt doesn't flibbetty-flop back and forth, 30" inseam so no altering for us shorties, warm (0-40) and windproof to 35mph. Depending on how they hold up they are probably well worth the price but, proving bargains can be found, Title 9 warehouse sale had them for $29.

Funky Monkey Freeze-Dried Fruit

Excellent flavor. Great snack.
At $2 a bag, it's a bit pricey but it's great to keep in the car to prevent a trip to the drive-thru.

A 1oz bag of BananaMon (banana cinnamon) is 110 cals and provides 3* servings of fruit with only 2mg sodium. It's fruit so it is not particularly low carb (27g) but not bad.

Organic, vegan, gluten free

No Recreational Shopping

Don't succumb to the "siren's song" of wandering the stores for retail therapy. Recreational Shopping will invariably become Impulse Buying.

And that includes even the grocery store. I'm working very hard on this one this month. It's a hard habit to break.

Liquid Laundry detergent

I've suspected for a long time I was using more than necessary. Just heard this tip and it works! Use the detergent's cap to measure. After you pour the soap into the washer, drop the cap in with the dirty clothes. Only caveat is to remember to retrieve the cap when you transfer the clothes to the dryer.

Bolthouse Farms Tropical Mango Olive Oil Vinaigrette

If you're a fan of somewhat sweet salad dressings, this is delicious. Only 30 calories and 1.5g Fat in a 2 Tblsp serving.
emoticon I've used it on green salads, apple/mandarin orange salad (with a sprinkling of coconut) and mixed it with Original Laughing Cow Light spread to top my bagel thins.

Use Less Printer Ink

Anytime that a quality copy isn't necessary use "grayscale" and lower quality print settings, such as "draft" or "fast print".

Challenging, yet reasonable, Pedometer goal

Wear your pedometer for a week and honestly assess how many steps is a reasonable goal. You're trying to improve your level of fitness, not overwhelm yourself with the challenge.

Spark Points Savings Account

I sometimes feel guilty about the amount of time I spend on SparkPeople. To make myself "pay" for the privilege, I opened a separate savings account. At the end of each month I transfer an amount equal to my number of Monthly Spark Points.

Get to Know Sale Cycles

Many grocery and household products are on a sale cycle. After you're familiar with how often something goes on sale you can purchase enough at the discounted/coupon price to last till the next time around.
