Sneaking in exercise

I teach and so when the students go out for recess, I join them or walk the halls for added exercise. I sit on a stability ball while students read to me. I always park the furthest away in a parking lot. At home I sit on a stability ball while watching TV and also sneak in squats during dishes and commercials. I also find reasons to go up and down the stairs several times.

My Secret to Exercise

Every time I feel stressed or am grieving the loss of my son I take off on a walk or bike ride in the country. There I am surrounded by God's nature and quiet. It is a time to pray and to enjoy the beauty of life. It's a physical walk or ride but it ends up being a spiritual one as well. I'm getting stronger on both counts.

Ingredients to make my smoothie healthier, yummier & more filling

I have started putting 2 Tbl. of chia seeds in my smoothies and replaced the skim milk with almond milk. The chia is full of omega 3 and helps to make me feel full & satisfied. The almond milk has less calories and is a great source of calcium, plus it adds a great flavor. Yum!
