If you take a few moments to look and see those who love and support you, then you will have all the motivation you need to start focusing upon living a healthier lifestyle.
When it comes to exercise, start slow and work your way into it. Try using the 10% principle. Increase your exercise time by 10% one day a week, and then continue to build on it. Before you know it you'll be doing things you never dreamed possible.
You can do more than you ever dreamed possible. Don't listen to what you think you do, but dare to dream and try something difficult. Attack your goal one step at a time, and the day will come when you will be amazed as to what you can accomplish.
Always remember you don't have to do this alone. There are plenty who are willing to walk with you on this journey. There is always One Who will never leave you.
Don't allow your focus to be only upon your long range goal. Be sure to enjoy the smaller victories that you experience along the way. Always take the time to spend time focusing upon those who are most important to you.
It is still amazing to me just how important and powerful relationships are in helping us to develop healthier habits and be transformed into the people we want to be.
Getting healthy is almost as much mental as it is physical, at least for me. Staying focused upon the task at hand with visual reminders is a real help for me in staying the course.
Always look for ways to stay active throughout the day. I find it helpful to take the stairs rather than the elevator, and try to go for short walks during my lunch break.
Setting fitness goals for myself, like miles run each week, and at least 100 mins of cardio per day help me stay on track.
I find that if I stay with the plan, regardless of the results that I am always better off. Sometimes it doesn't look like I'm making progress at the time, but when I look back I can see that I have. Stay the course!
