Tapping breaks up the tension

Other cultures have some unique health tips. I have learned a Chinese tip that I will call tapping. When you are feeling tired and down you tap your body and take deep breaths. I am amazed how good this feels to relieve my body and mind tension. It only takes a moment.

Tracking Nutrition - The Key to Success

In the beginning tracking on SP taught me how to eat the right amount of calories by making choices of what to eat. Later I learned to also keep in ranges (all at the same time) for protein, carbs, fat, and fiber. Once I found how to eat and get proper nutrition, I was not hungry and feeling deprived, then everything else fell into line.

If you can commit to do one thing without fail, I encourage you to make it this one!

starting the day before you get out of bed. Quite time

I do my stretching/pilates exercises before I get out of bed.... while my body is still warm and the snooze button doesn't go off for another 5 mins... I added this to my daily devotional time..Pray. Stretch. Eat

Free Workouts

When started working out in January I did not know what to do. What was appropriate and where to start. I found a video by fitness blenders on youtube and used it. Their videos are free (Yay) and very detailed as proper body mechanics, no crazy music. It has been my secret. Its like a personal trainer at no cost. i promised to myself i wont spend a penny on anyone to help me lose weight and I didnt. Clean diet and exercise. All done at home with my baby at hand. 43 LB down and still going.

Gave Up My Car

I know this wouldn't work for everyone because you have to get to work, but if you don't really NEED your vehicle, consider living without it. This is what I did 4- 1/2 years ago. I ride a bike with a basket on it. I walk. I take the bus. Occasionally I take a cab. But I'm saving lots of money and getting lots of extra exercise to boot.

Drink Tap Water

Bottled water is so expensive. The tap water is safe to drink in almost all areas of the country. (Check the government reports on your local water tests). I keep a jug of tap water in the refrigerator so it's always cold and I use lots of ice. I always carry a refillable plastic bottle of ice water whenever I step foot out of the house. Water is included with our rent, so I'm saving "buckets" of money by drinking tap water instead of bottled water.
