SunButter

If you or your children have nut allergies and cannot use peanut butter or other nut butters, give SunButter a try. Unlike Soy butter (yuck), it tastes just like peanut butter. It is made from sunflower seeds I use it in recipes that call for peanut butter, so that my allergic son can safely enjoy them. I also spread it on toast or enjoy it any other way you would normally enjoy peanut butter.

Easy Clean Up

Instead of scrubbing the baked on gook from your crock pot, fill with water and add a fabric softener dryer sheet. Soak overnight (or a few hours). It will wipe clean! Works for stoneware casserole dishes and porcelain coated cast iron pots as well.

Zevia (diet soda sweetened with Stevia)

I just discovered Zevia in a local grocery store today. Zero calories, no artificial sweeteners, uses Stevia for sweetness. I picked up a few flavors, and have tasted 2 so far. They are delicious! They do have a small number of carbs depending on the flavor, but well worth it for a soda treat. http://zevia.com/

FOOD SHOULD TASTE GOOD CHOCOLATE TORTILLA CHIPS

My new fav snack! the "Food Should Taste Good" is a great brand - small number of ingredients for a "snack" food & I can pronounce them all. The chocolate tortilla chips are great - very chocolatey with a hint of sea salt, so you get your chocolate and salt fix in one. 10 chips - 140 calories.

Sourcing Locally Grown Organic Foods

If you are looking for local producers for things like grass-fed beef and organic vegetables, a great web site is eatwild.com -- you can search by state, and they have a link that maps out all the producers for your state so you can easily find the ones closest to you.

Chiropractic care has many benefits

I never "believed" in chiropractors until a few months ago, because I never understood how important your spinal health is to your overall well-being. Finding a "Maximized Living" doctor in my area has helped me tremendously. I highly recommend getting checked, even if you "feel good."

Blow Torch Vs. Twinkie

Go on You Tube and watch the "Blow Torch vs. Twinkie" video. If a blow torch cannot burn up a twinkie, how can you expect your body to burn it properly? It really is a great visual on how bad Trans Fats are for you. Stay as far away from those trans fats as possible!! emoticon
