Get a more active job

I have had many desk jobs where I sit at a desk most of the day without much activity. My secret was to get a more active job where so that I can get in my exercise as a work. I don't really like sitting at a desk all day anyway.

SparkPeople Meal Plans

The suggested meal plans provided by SparkPeople has really helped me to cut calories. Even when I make substitutions, they help me with my menu planning. I found that before I was getting too many carbs (bread, rice, potatoes) and not enough fruits and veggies or protein. I, also, found out that it's ok to use canned applesauce or fruit instead of fresh which helps me stick to a healthy eating plan. It's not about perfection. It's doing the best that you can.

Plan Ahead

I find printing out the menu plans for the week from my Nutrition plan SparkPeople and using that to plan my shopping list helps me eat healthy throughout the week.
