Ground Flax Seed

I sprinkle ground flax seed like pepper to add vitamins and fiber. GFS is also a staple in my baked goods as I substitute no less than 1/4 cup in most recipes, especially cookies.

Dark chocolate squares

I buy a big bar of dark chocolate and then break it up into 100 calorie portions, and wrap each piece individually in foil. This way I know there is chocolate in the house, so I don't have to panic and buy something at the store. And the chocolate is so intense that I never need more than one piece--I am so satisfied by just one!

linen closet

my closet can become chaotic very quickly, in order to tame the nightmare I fold my sheet sets and tuck the complete set into one of the pillow cases. they stay together, stack neatly and eliminate the need to rummage through to find matching pieces - and even the kids recognize "THEIR" bundle and can help fetch new sheets

easy chicken stock

You already know that chicken bones make great stock but who has time to do this for a few ounces of stock? Start a "stockpot" in your freezer. Place deli roasted chicken carcasses in a heavy duty gallon freezer bag and store in the freezer. When the bag is filled, its time to make at least a quart of stock.

Treat It Like A Job

When I asked a young woman who had lost 200 pounds how she did it, she said that she treated weight loss like a job. No matter how she felt, she showed up. She showed up at the grocery store to buy the right food, she showed up to track her food, she showed up to walk, etc.
