Show Yourself How Far You've Come

When I get stuck at a plateau, I try to find a new way to remind myself how far I've come and it inevitably helps me refocus and re-energize my efforts.
Here are some things I've done:
1. Fill a backpack with weights to match how much weight I've lost. Carry it around for a few minutes, and realize how much pressure I've taken off my body.
2. Over the course of a week (or more), walk a mile for every pound I've lost and track it.
3. Write my number on the bathroom mirror in lipstick.

Accountability, rewards, and forgiveness

Keep yourself accountable but build in small rewards and forgive yourself for your mistakes. I find that tracking everything helps me lose weight, and scheduling in small rewards such as getting my hair or nails done, buying a luxury (such as nice lotion) or exercise outfit every five pounds or so keeps me motivated. Also, being honest with myself when I don't follow my nutrition plan and forgiving myself helps me get back on track faster and closer to my healthier me.
