Stop and think!

I ask myself - do I really want to record THAT on my food tracker?! Asking that question and waiting for the answer can be enough for me not to choose to eat that food. This way, I hold myself accountable to my SP friends.

If the answer is "yes", then I eat whatever THAT food is and log it....

Be a little selfish! Take care of yourself. No one else can take care of you and you cannot take care of others if you don't put yourself first when you need to.

Truth

If I am honest to myself and to my SP community, the reasons why I have not succeeded are within my abilities to change: exercise more, eat in balance and stay in touch with the goals and the footpath of steps I need to take to get there.

Try Something New!

It sounds simplistic, but it's true! Before I joined SP, if you told me I would like the elliptical, using Kettlebells and would even own a pair of boxing gloves (Susan G Komen pink!), I would be sure you were nuts! But I love trying these things. (Some day I will even be good at them!)

One of my "other" goals is a daily "uplift me" goal. As I am driving to work, I either give me lots of positive self-talk, I roleplay something for work with a positive outcome or I sing positive songs. By the time I get to work, I am geared up for a positive day!

Music as a Mood Lifter

Sometimes life gets me down - things not going well at work or home, loss, scale, lack of energy, etc. I popped in a CD of some uplifting & soothing music. Then I took a walk, enjoying the songbirds and beauty outdoors.
