If you want a tight tummy, keep your tummy tight!

Whenever doing core exercises like crunches, plank position, or push-ups or any sort of cardio work out (e.g., kick boxing, zumba, etc.), I always make sure to engage my core. This means pulling your navel towards your spine and visualizing them touching. It strengthens those muscles and helps your midsection look flatter sooner.

If your stomach pokes out while you are working on your core, your muscles will begin to develop that outward pooch.

Push yourself!

One way I make sure I clock my exercise minutes is to plug in my goal time into the machine and tell myself I can get off whenever I want. That way there's no pressure, but I have my goal in sight. I usually end up staying on the whole time and I feel great about it in the end.

There is no such thing as THE right answer

There are several ways to get healthy and lose weight. Granted, some may be better for you than others, but when it comes to reaching your goal one size does not fit all. Find out everything you can about living healthy and then feel free to customize away. Don't beat yourself up if you can't live up to someone else's standard and don't feel like you have to measure up to someone else's progress. Your journey is yours! Stick with it and you'll make it to your goal emoticon

"Cheat" is a five-letter word

If I have a craving, I eat one serving of whatever it is, track it on my nutrition tracker, and move on. If I try to get around it by eating something similar, I'll only want it more. Just like one good choice can't undo 1000 bad choices, one serving of anything is not going to ruin a pattern of healthy choices.
