Plan a Treat Every Day

It is important to not feel deprived when dieting - binging is frequently the backlash. To counter this tendency I plan for a treat at the end of every day. I save a reasonable block of calories/fat and have a light ice cream or a cookie. Knowing that I will get this treat helps me to say no to all the little temptations throughout the day - I will get my treat... just not right now.

Start slow, modify life with time

Start by modifying one thing at a time. First, do something like drinking the amount of water you're supposed to have. Then, slowly add something else like working out or start changing the way you eat...etc emoticon

Balance, Moderation and Consistency!!

I read those three words in The Spark and they have stuck with me in every part of my weight loss journey (Health, fitness, diet, exerice, motivation). You can apply it to anything! This is the key to success. You don't have to be perfect all of the time. Just remember These three words.

The library has it all!

Not only can you save money by checking out books, but your library may have passes for museums that you can check out. Mine does! Not only do I save on library admissions, but I am more likely to go.

Posture

A quick "realignment" to improve your posture:
1. Stand up straight (or while walking).
2. lift your arms straight out to the sides from your body (so your body and arms make a T-shape).
3. turn your palms upwards, which naturally turns your whole arm a bit.
