THE BEST CONDIMENT

I simply love hummus! Whether plain or mixed with your favorite seasonings it makes an excellent substitute for most condiments like mustard, mayo and ketchup. emoticon

Every time you make a good choice in eating, exercising, whatever, pat yourself on the back. You overcame the temptation to make a wrong choice or take the easy way out. Each good choice is one more brick in the foundation of a healthy life and motivates you to take the next step forward. emoticon

WARM UP and COOL DOWN

Even when I am rushed for time I always try to do a warm up prior to exercise and a cool down after. I used to think they were optional but now I realize the importance of preparing the body for exercise, physically and psychologically, and returning it to normal after and the sessions go much better when I follow those guidelines. It also makes stretching at the end easier.

FAST FOOD - NOT A PROBLEM

When I'm out running errands and won't be home for lunch; I avoid the fast food drive through by packing a healthy meal (sandwich or salad ) in an ice filled cooler which I keep in the trunk of the car. That way I'm not tempted by french fries or chocolate shakes.
