Buy local fruits and vegetables, especially in season, from your farmer's markets and food will last longer and to me, is more fun to cook with.
I only use cloth, recyclable bags and only shop enough to fill the number of bags I take in--keeps my purchases down.
Brush your teeth and go to bed early. You will benefit from the extra sleep and not consume any additional calories.
I will write down a mantra, or a thought for the day, and read this to myself each morning. I copy it down in my planner and look at it throughout the day for positive reminders.
Some exercise is better than none and so while you're doing something else like reading or watching tv, you can easily ride your stationary bike, walk on the treadmill or do sit-ups, etc.
To avoid eating too much, just have one bite, and then go and do something else (away from where you just put away the dessert). If you can't forget about more, go and have another bite, then go do something else. Most of the time, I forget to go back for more than a bite or two.
I keep a pair of walking shoes at work, extra change of exercise clothes in the car and I always have my exercise clothes laid out at night so they are ready in the morning. I very rarely miss a day of exercise.
It makes it easier to get your fluid intake, for those that don't drink enough water, and so easy/handy. You can carry in your purse or pocket.
I put heavy lotion or oil on my hands at night before bed and put on a pair of gloves while sleeping. When you wake up in the morning, your hands will be soft and healed.
You will never miss if you do something first thing in the morning. Anything after that, is icing on the cake. i even sleep in my exercise clothes once in awhile, say if I get to bed a liitle late--saves me time in the morning.
