6-Pack Meats

Buying meats in bulk (6 or more servings) can be helpful in planning meals for 1-2 people in a household. Freeze the portions separately. This way you have meat for future meals and you can control how much you need to cook per person. emoticon

If The Clothes Fit. . . .

I tried on clothes at Old Navy yesterday and found that I can wear a size L instead of an XL. This gives me motivation to keep exercising and eating right.

One thing I do to curb my cravings is to look up the nutritional information of a food before I eat it. The numbers usually snap me back into chosing something with less calories emoticon

Enjoy the moment and you'll go far (literally)

I find that when I go for a walk I wear a pedometer, but I don't think about steps or distance - I just walk and listen to my music. I get so wrapped up in the music that I don't realize how far I've walked til my legs started to ache.

No fuss breakfast

Today I made cut apple slices into quarters and spooned peanut butter onto each one The apples provide me with fiber and carbs while the peanut butter gives me protein

Influence of Music

When my motivation is lacking, I put my Nickleback CD into my discman and go for a walk outside - I am so busy enjoying the music I lose track of how far I have walked.......Good thing I have a pedometer emoticon

Feelings Matter!

I think about how I feel after I have exercised, or when I see that I have stayed within my ranges on the Nutrient Tracker.

Exercise Can Be Simple

Some people think exercise is strictly working all your muscles hard for at least 30 minutes and can feel intimidated at first. A good place to begin is alotting time for a walk outside - you'll get the benefits of exercise plus fresh air emoticon
