Buying meats in bulk (6 or more servings) can be helpful in planning meals for 1-2 people in a household. Freeze the portions separately. This way you have meat for future meals and you can control how much you need to cook per person.
I find that when I go for a walk I wear a pedometer, but I don't think about steps or distance - I just walk and listen to my music. I get so wrapped up in the music that I don't realize how far I've walked til my legs started to ache.
Some people think exercise is strictly working all your muscles hard for at least 30 minutes and can feel intimidated at first. A good place to begin is alotting time for a walk outside - you'll get the benefits of exercise plus fresh air
