packets of rotisserie chicken

When rotisserie chicken is on sale I buy at least two. Right away I skin and bone them, then put 3 oz of meat into each of several freezer bags, freeze and use later. Sometimes I package white and dark meat separately, sometimes I mix types of meat.

Put ice cream into 1/2 cup plastic containers when you get home. When you want a serving, it's ready and you didn't pay extra for manufacturer fixing the portion size. emoticon emoticon

easy way to dry plastic containers & dishes

I hand wash plastic containers and air dry them in a dish drainer. They dry quickly. By not having them in the dishwasher, the dishes, pots, pans and flatware get completely dry instead of the water clinging to the plastic and therefore keeping tops of glasses and cups from drying. (I suppose I could wash the plastic in the dishwasher and take them out to air dry when the wash cycle is done, but then I'd have to pay attention to where the washer is in its cycle.)

the time is NOW

There will be no better time than NOW. Waiting "until....." is a procrastination technique. Pick TODAY and simply start! Drink more water or eliminate a junk food snack or double-up on your mealtime veggies ~ ~ ~ do SOMETHING to signal to yourself that you are serious and have begun! Then, move forward; don't look back. You're on your way!

Feeling punk?

If you wake up with a sore throat, achy body and are generally feeling punk, listen to your body. Sometimes it is NOT wise to keep up your normal regimen. It's okay to take a day or two off from working out. Take naps if possible or at least go to bed earlier. Drink hot tea with honey & lemon, take vitamin C and eat chicken soup. Your recovery will be faster and you won't infect others, which might result in re-exposing yourself to the 'bug'. You DON'T want 'same song, 2nd dance' with a cold.
