When I bike on my indoor cycle I listen to super upbeat music. When my momentum really gets going and I am in the zone I yell out positive affirmations, such as: "I am good enough." "I deserve great health." "I love myself." "I can do this." "I love to sweat." It really pumps me up and I feel great. My dogs must think I am crazy. LOL, LOL
Weekend eating has always been a challenge for me until I joined the Largest Virtual Weigh In Team and started weighing on either Saturday, Sunday or Monday. It really helped me stick to healthy eating habits on the weekend.
For the longest time I was trying to get my daily cycle minutes in by working out one time a day. I now leave my workout clothes on all day and break up my cycle workouts into 3 separate events. No longer do I experience a sore rear but I am able to workout harder at each workout doing interval training. This also gives me knee relief in between as well. Fortunately I work out of my home and own my own bike, which allows me to do the aforementioned.
In order to have quick meals available for the week, on Sunday night I prepare steel cut oats in the crockpot and on Monday store it in premeasured, individual, microwaveable containers. I also made a big pot of Alton Brown's lentil soup and package the same as the oatmeal. It is healthy and alleviates having to worry about eating healthy.
