I keep measuring tools, cups and spoons in many containers. Many foods are used in specific amounts often So I have 1/4 cup measure in my oat bran. 2 tablespoon in m flax seed. I tablespoon in my grape nuts. I bought inexpensive cups and spoons and instead of cluttering the drawers I open the lid use the tool and throw it back in for the next time you want to use that dry food again. no need to wash till it gets wet. Make certain the utensil is dry before you drop it back in to the glass jar.
This is true, i use this tip and it helps trmendously. My siblings always ask me how i stay away from sweets, and i just dont eat them! If you dont tease yourself with the slightest taste or thought, you won want more! Simple? It really is. And if someone is trying to get you to taste something you know in unhealthy and might be good and they say "well what if you like it?" THAT might just be the problem huh? Chia seeds are a complete source of dietary protein, providing all the essential amino acids. Chia causes a slow release of carbohydrates and the slow converting of carbohydrates into glucose (blood sugar) for energy. They help to control weight. Mixed with orange juice or tea, the gel-like seeds make a nutritious breakfast that leaves one feeling full & without hunger until noon. No kidding that I started eating chia 5 days ago and lost 5lbs effortlessly. I put them on my salad/cottage cheese.
For women, increase your protein intake to 75 - 100 grams a day to break thru a plateau. I was eating in the low 60's and had been at a plateau for 2 months. I increased my protein intake to this level and started losing again.
I was in a plateau from June 2012 till about October 2012 - stuck between a 3lbs range! I was running almost every day all summer. I then got a new workout Wii game in October and wouldn't you know, my weight started to drop again! I was so into my running routine that I didn't change it up. My body got to used to it. I was basically maintaining. I wanted to continue to lose so I had to change my routine. I "always" try to change my routine every 4-8 weeks depending on how my body is feeling.
When I make my sandwich to take to work, I always lay it on a paper towel while I'm preparing it. The towel holds the crumbs from the bread so clean up is nothing. Then I wrap it up in the papertowel & slip it into the baggie. This way I have a "plate" to lay it on when I'm ready to eat it & a napkin as well. The baggie is clean & I can re-use it the next day & the next until its ready to be thrown away!
Drink your water don't sip on it all day and THINK you are getting in enough. Also you may need to get in more than 64 oz a day to lose. I have to drink 120oz or more in a day to lose. It gets easy with time. I use to gag on it but now I don't mind so much.
I have found when I eat at least 5grams of fiber per meal I lost 82 lbs. The total grams of fiber per day was 30 plus grams. Choose whole wheat high fiber options in everything you eat. It taste great and you will benifit from it.
