I put hairbrushes, flip flops and baseball caps in the dishwasher...run the cycle....and VOILA'....CLEAN! While I do something else. (NOT while I run dishes!)
An inkpen 'exploded' in my son's Ref. soccer uniform pocket and there were a few more 'blots on other parts of the shirt. (He forgot to tell me - I found it in the dryer) I remembered an old treatment I had heard about but never used:
One of my biggest problems before joining SparkPeople was eating before I went to bed. Uncontrolled portions of 'something..s.'
Weeknights I don't have a lot of time for meal preparation. I purchase a LARGE quantity of ground beef and/or turkey. I take it home and I separate it into 1# 'portions.' (1 lb. works for my family of 4.) I lay out one paper plate covered with paper towels for each portion I have. (The paper plates & towels absorb fat) I brown 1# at a time seasoning it, drain it in a colander in my sink (run hot water!), put it on the plate and when it's cool, I freeze each portion in a quart ziplock.
I stack my frying pans (and all my other pans too) inside of each other to save cupboard space. I put a coffee filter between the pans so that they don't scratch each other up. This also helps me (and my husband) know where the clean pan goes back in the cupboard stack.
