Something new

Go to the library and get a new cookbook to try out something new. That way if you don't like the cookbook you get to return it and if you do you can go buy one!! I love something different.

JUST MOVE

Instead of sitting still just move-wiggling aroung burns calories-so move that foot, tap the toes-just do something. Wii Fit has a stepthing where I can turn it on then watch tv while I step off and on the balance board. NOw how easy is that??

Exercise DVD's

I found when I was first losing weight and real embarrassed by what I looked like that exercise DVD's were my best friend. To say I had NO endurance would be an understatement- 5 minutes and I was done! Leslie Sansone was the encouragement I needed to get going. NOw Bob Harper, Jillian Michaels and Jackie Warner kick my but when I don't get in enough gym time or want an extra workout.

Kettle bells

I like to use a kettle bell instead of dumbbells because they make me have to try a little harder to balance. Their unique shape makes them easier to swing and do more exercises than the dumbbell. emoticon emoticon

Try something new

Whenever I start to feel bored with-food, exercise-whatever
I try something new. Now have discovered do not like acorn squash but butternut squash and spaghetti squash I love. Don't like elliptical or stairclimber but like the elliptical beast as I call the cross trainer/climber creature. Don't let boredom put you off track.

AM exercise

To make sure I get my exercise everyday-I roll out of bed and take care of usual AM stuff, geta a drink of water, get dressed and go to the gym. Have people there that I see everyday. I know if I don't get right up and go it will be easy to slip back into old ways and old weight which I am not willing to do. It does help that gym is only 3.5 miles from home and open 24/7!

sneaky exercise

I have moved my lap top to a lower level in my room so I sit on the floor. While I wait for pages to load I do crunches or planks just to do something productive. emoticon

Something Green Tea

Instead of milk in my protein smoothies I have been using green tea. Love to have vanilla protein berries or kiwi or both and a banana. Tastes good

Priority

I have had to learn that I am important. I now make myself a priority. I am NOT being selfish if I don't take care of myself I really can't take care of anyone else.
