Spare Change

Extra pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters?? Throw them in a jar and save that change for a Mom's Night Out, a new book, a cruise, whatever you want!!

Sometimes when I cash my coins in i have $40!! It's an easy way to save some money or splurge on yourself!!

Sneak in the healthy stuff!

I love me some brownies!! Insteading of adding the usual 1/2 cup of oil, I add 1/2 cup of apple sauce. They are still moist and yummy, but have less calories and less fat in them. Try is sometime. They're delish!! emoticon

Walk, don't drive the store.

Gotta get a paper, a gallon of milk or even a greeting card? Walk to the store, don't drive. You'll be helping the environment as well as your waistline!! It is also a great way to get 10-20 minutes of exercise in. Why drive when you can get the benefits of exercise? Happy walking!

Fill 'er up!

Before eating dinner I drink a full 20 ounce glass of water with lemon. Thus way I don't eat as much and I also get hydrated at the same time. emoticon

Parking further away from the store=more walking!

Whenever I park to go into a store, I park further away so that I am taking more steps to walk to the store. Why park in the first spot when you can get more steps and burn more calories? Plus, if someone is messing with your car someone will likely see it since there are no other cars parked next to it.

Stairway to Better Health

Whenever I have to use the stairs in my house I make sure to go back up and down again. This way I am burning more calories and getting double the amount of exercise from going up and down the steps.
