Organizing Temporary Storage Of Recyclables During the Day...

I recycle as you probably do ,too! A method I found helpful for organizing the recyclables during the day without having to go out near the recyclable container CONSTANTLY is to have a plastic bag HANGING IN THE PANTRY CLOSET out of the way ,but across from the trash can so a person can clean up the kitchen and recycle at the same time! I then take the bag out each night to the large recyclable container and dump the contents and throw the plastic bag in the trash...

First of all~ a BIG theme to me is Wedding,Baby Boy,Baby Girl,Christmas. To organize all the myriad of scrapbooking stuff for each BIG theme, I have to divide each theme into 3 categories and then EACH CATEGORY OF THAT THEME gets an IRIS box[ those see-through thick containers that store materials for scrapbooking HORIZONTALLY]. For example,Wedding has a box for PAPER, a second box for EMBELLISHMENTS [flat & 3-D grouped together] and a third box for RUB-ONS/STICKERS. This way when I go to ...

An Organized Method for Giving Used Items to Charity for Tax Purposes!

When I donate used items such as clothing to Goodwill or other charities,I always post a list of each item as it goes in the collected bags and then tape the list to said bag and the next morning when I set the bags out,I collect the list and keep them together with the tape and an address of the charity and it's name and the date given. This procedure has helped me when the charity [very rarely] forgets to give an accounting sheet with their logo for income tax purposes. It also helps ...

Where is the TV Remote?

I hope this is the LAST time we lose the remote for the television! I have SECURED each remote to the lamptable with a piece of heavy-duty velcro and a matching piece to each remote! I cannot get hearing aids at this time right now [as I NEED them] but have a preschooler and don't want to lose my hearing althogether [he gets loud ~too loud~ sometimes as preschoolers do!] so I NEED the remote for the subtitles for the movie or whatever we are watching [we don't subscribe to regular tv ...

Measuring My Margarine!

I like to have margarine on toast and the kinds I prefer are SMART BALANCE Light @50 cals per tbsp or I Can't Believe It 's Not Butter Light @ 80 per tbsp. To help assist me in not overdoing w/ the fats,I use a large spoon or a measured tbsp.[tablespoon] to put my margarine in BEFORE I spread it on toast . This has helped me TREMENDOUSLY as I know exactly how much I have used & can count the amt of cals. on my Nutrition Tracker .If I have any unused portion of margarine ...

When the electricity goes out, these lights automatically go on for a four hour duration. I have used them many times and they have proven to be a wise investment! I bought them from a catalog many yrs.ago.They had cost $29.95 for the set of three...
