No more lost Blogs or comments.

I am not very good with computers. I often struggle to write Blogs or comments only to find I have hit a wrong key and I lost my blog. Nothing worked for me to get it back. To avoid that,
I start my blog. I minimize it and open Word,.
I write and edit entire blog in Word. If adding pictures I make spaces where I want to put the pictures. I put the pictures on my desktop.

Cleaning glass oven door.

I was not happy the way the oven door was just not getting as clean as i want it. I poured a layer of lemon juice on the door and used a razor blade after a few minutes to scrape the brown spots off. It was so easy. The door has a gasket just do be careful near the gasket do not allow the blade to get too close. DH was amazed how clear the oven door is now. emoticon

Measuring will save you money, and calories.

Just think about Peanut butter. You poke a knife in to a jar and spread it liberally. Powerful taste but if you do the exact serving size or even half of it My peanut butter lasts twice as long and you can even lick the spoon. Hummus, Spreads of all kinds even measuring milk and soy and juices. Measuring is easier to track and NO GUESSING keeps the numbers right on.I even measure out the vegetables and have the leftovers for another meal. You too can do it..

Use the cap for measuring small amounts.

I discovered most bottle tops are one teaspoon so i can quickly measure small amounts of oil, vinegar anything with a top, i use it for quickly measuring that small amount.

Quicker measuring.

When opening containers with an inner plastic or paper seal. Use a knif or scissors to cut across the seal and remove just half of it leaving the other half intact.
I scoop with measuring cup and level the top with the edge of the seal left behind. You have exact amounts of yogurt. cottage cheese etc anything with the inner seal. It's quicker, more accurate and less mess.Pat in Maine.

APPLES for little kids and oldies like me.

Next time you give a small child or a child with loose teeth an APPLE try this. Cut it in thin slices about 1/4 to 1/2 inch NOT FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. AROUND ITS MIDDLE and show off the star in the middle. I found little kids went off apples when teeth were loose so I did this. Now I am losing teeth I find they are much easier with smaller chunks of skin to chew.

Discovered the group option right on the tracker itself

I was putting in my breakfast, my very frequent breakfast and right above is the" make a group feature". Clicked on it and made a group of what was there then clicked copy to another day. copied to tomorrow, If I use a different milk I can change it in a flash. No need to go to anywhere else it is right there. Saves time too.

Take your shredder along with your cleaning tools.

When I got into Spring cleaning mode this year I was surprised the pieces of paper I found in my other rooms. I took the shredder with me and it sure saved time and trash space when I shredded things right away. I am getting better at discarding recipes and tips I have been hoarding. Pat in Maine.

Opening ziplock bags a second time.

If you buy frozen vegetables and open the bag with scissors to reveal a zip closure. It is often hard to separate the cut edges. If you clip out a thumb hole in the middle of one cut edge you can open it much easier, Pat in Maine,

Screen doors in winter.

If you have a sliding screen door on a patio door. Keep it open in front of the passive door. We have lots of snow but we can always get out of the kitchen since the inner door opens inwards. The outer slider will not block the exit but will most likely be frozen to the runners. Better it freezes there so you can exit if you need to. Pat in Maine.
