Do a little dance!
Keep moving. dance while you clean, cook, or dance to the commercials while you watch tv.
Lean ground beef
If you can find packages of top round steak discounted at the store, use your food processor to make your own lean hamburger.
Home made Ice Cream
I make my own ice cream using skim milk and Splenda. If I want chocolate, I use unsweetened cocoa powder, or just put in fresh fruit.
I use EVOO for all my cooking. It is a healthy oil and I don't feel guilty.
You can buy plates that have faint lines showing you how much of each food category you need per meal. Great to start with, when you are used to eating your protein as the largest portion.
Preparing for the week.
After I grocery shop, I force myself to clean all my fruits and veggies. I use small storage containers that are flat and stack easily. When I am looking to snack, I am more likely to grab something healthy because it is ready.
Walking to enjoy the flowers
I find walking during spring and summer is easy if you enjoy seeing the different gardens in your neighborhood with their flowers and shrubs. Each yard bring a new scent or color.
