Walk around or stand while waiting I never sit!

emoticon I never sit at the airport I walk the entire time I am there and I don't stop moving until I board the plane. I also try to walk and move around in waiting rooms at Doctor's, I walk around or stand, at the car dealership I walk around. Even if I am waiting for family members to get into a car I walk around the yard. If there is a chair involved I AVOID IT! I never sit, because once I sit it's very boring!

Break it Up!

On days my mind and body refuse to exercise, I say to myself just do something for 6-12 minutes, like 1 Sparkpeople video. Later in the day, I will plan to do 15-30 minutes of walking or going on my bike. I look for variety so no two days are a like. I might plan to dance for 10 minutes to a great podcast. I track it, then look back and realize before I know it I've exercised over an hour in one day. This keeps me going!

15 minute exercise video at computer

I admit I like to be at the computer, but every day I will do 1 15 minute video of walking exercise at my computer, ususally Leslie Sansone, Biggest loser, or for a different pace, a Spark people video. Sometimes I will also look on youtube for a Zumba video. It helps to try something different everyday and is kind of a treasure hunt to find something new and different. Then I log it in on my Sparkpage. I get my exercise out of the way everyday, then if I do more, it's a bonus!

Drink Flavored Water

I am not a drink water fan whatsoever, so I decided to add Crystal light peach mango greet tea to 2 quarts of water each day. It has green tea, and vitamins a, c, and e added. I eventually plan to create my own flavored drink, but for now this works! emoticon

1-3 Goals a Day

A lot of times I am not motivated, what works for me so I don't get distracted is to accomplish 1-3 small goals per day. For example, Drink 8 glasses of water, exercise, and do Spark people. After that, I give myself a small reward. I use this for other things as well, not just exercising. emoticon
