I set a timer so I don't focus on the time. Especially on a challenging day it helps me know I'll complete my workout but not let the clock seem that it has stopped.

when i feel that way I take a journal and write on one page and answer the negative ideas on the opposite page after taking a break. Often then I can respond as I would if answering a friend or colleague and listen to the positive side of myself.
I found at my local grocery they clear out the days leftover cooked roasters, turkey breasts ect at 1/2 off after 7:30 PM It happens that's when I walk by and if they have some I'll pick one or two up. at 3.50 a bird they cost less than if I bought it and cooked them myself.
I keep my interest in walking by taking photos of interesting things I find, collecting coke caps for friends for redemption, cleaning a block or trail of trash I find, taking a tour book or narrated walking tour.
i use altoids and raw almonds to avoid bad snack attacks. If I have a craving sucking on an altoid and like brushing teeth it stops tastes from being pleasant. Almonds a small hand full keeps my appetite at bay
I keep my sneakers in the car, when I get home I put them on and take off. I find I'm more likely to walk if I do it first before getting involved in the evening activities
