Gardening

In the spring, summer and autumn I love being in the fresh air and working hard in the garden. It's good exercise but so exciting to see the flowers and freggies grow and thrive.

Whole Grains

I almost never eat white bread, white pasta or rice and prefer whole grains. A bit more difficult is eating the occasional cakes as they are generally made with white flour.

Fitbit One

Getting a pedometer is the best incentive to exercise, and my fitbit which I invested in after Christmas has been brilliant as it syncs to my Spark account and my fitbit account shows me how much I have done each day, week and month, and gives me a daily nutrition guidance.

Early Exercise

I find getting my exercise in early in the day helps to get it done if I am very busy, get up every hour to walk about and also make a point of climbing the stairs to go to the bathroom rather than use the one on the same floor. emoticon
