Run the Amazing Race!

Doing something fun will keep you motivated, especially when you get results!
On our Spark team the Amazing Race Fans, we ran a virtual race around the world via our fitness minutes and by eating fruits & veggies and drinking water. It has been a big success and we are doing it again in July.
Contact me if you would like to join in for our next race.

Yes, you need to eat right, exercise, drink water and get lost of sleep too, but don't overlook the value of connecting with other Spark People! It is amazing what you can accomplish when you interact with others that share these personal and common goals, you will learn lots, develop wonderful friendships and reach your goals!!

Water Intake made easier

We buy bottled water, so at the start of each day I put 4 bottles of water on my side kitchen counter, whch is equal to 8 glasses. I try to have mini goals in mind, such as by lunch I should be going for the 2nd bottle, by mid afternoon the 3rd and by dinner time the last one. I often find myself getting a 5th bottle out after dinner. I also find I drink more water when I pour it into a cup.

Substitue half of the sandwich for salad

I found that eating half a sandwich with a salad at lunch is just as filling as eating a whole sandwich. Now I am saving extra calories by doing so and having a healthier lunch!
