I know the kitchen is the center of the home, but if you have a problem with nibbling and/or evening snacking you should stay away from reminders of food. I find it works best to avoid the kitchen and move to another room that does not contain food. I go upstairs to my bedroom to watch TV and don't plan to come downstairs unless I need more ice water.
You may not be able to tell, but everyday that you eat healthy and exercise cause you to gradually shrink all over--whether its a fraction of inch or a loss of 1 ounce--it all builds up to that 1 pound loss and/or 1 inch loss. Believe that your plan is working and consistency will get you to your goal.
