This past week I had lower back troubles with pain
I don't know if this has already been posted, but I found that if I wear pants that were a bit loose before I went off track, and are now a bit tight, I wear them when I eat. I am reminded of my setback, and I feel full faster and eat less automatically.
If you walk into a room or look at an item and the first thing you think is "I need to...", stop and do it if you have the time (if it will take 10 min or less). If not, put it on your calendar as a task and stick to it.
I hit a plateau that lasted 6 months, and I wanted to give up! So, I gave myself a new goal: 2 months to get back in gear before my vacation in May. I started "Insanity" exercise program, got a HR monitor, and am tracking everything. It totally renewed my motivation, and I'm finally losing again!
I used to think that 1 oz cheese serving was surgeon's general personal joke on me. Not anymore! Finely shredded, even half an ounce looks big - it gives you enough flavor and tricks your mind that you're eating lots! This doesn't work for pre-shreded stuff; it gets all packed in transport.
