Squeezing in Extra Movements to the day

I do several things to keep on moving throughout the day - I always walk to a co-workers desk to talk to them, about every 30-60 minutes I make sure I get up and move by taking a walk around the office floor then going up the stairs to the next floor-walking to the other side-take the stairs down and back to my desk, at lunch I always fit in walking outside regardless of the weather for a minimum of 20 minutes, and I power walk to the train station which is about .87 miles from my office.

Fitting Exercise into a busy schedule

With a long commute, I get off the commuter rail a stop earlier and walk the rest of the way to work; at lunch, I walk 15-30 minutes; on conference calls I walk around my cubicle; while my music is playing at my desk and a favorite song plays I get up and dance around or at least move my upper body to the beat; I walk to the train station instead of taking the subway which is almost 1 mile; at home I fit in another 40-50 minutes of cardio/strength exercise; walk in place during commercials on TV

Ways I Deal with Stress

After work I have a long commute home, to relieve the stress I crochet. Not only am I distressing before arriving home but I am accomplishing/creating something at the same time. At home when things become stressful, I play video games, listen to my favorite music, dance, crochet or talk a long brisk walk. Any hobby you enjoy can be relaxing and help with relieving stress.
